Benkei

Done for a contest of an MMORPG I played. The objective was to design our own Hoppalong, a companion of your player ingame. Design was inspired by kabuki.

Benkei the Kabuki Hoppalong

"Benkei is a natural performer in front of a crowd; but don't let the face paint and costume fool you.
If he's in battle mode, he can summon strong gusts of wind that can damage and push back enemies.
Naturally agile, he can evade attacks and at the same time, slow down enemy movement in the process.
If you find yourself in a pinch, he'll be there to create a shield with his fan and let you zoom pass your enemies and escape.
He likes to do calligraphy and drink tea during his free time.
Benkei will definitely be your #1 fan."
